Broadway’s longest running show, The Phantom of the Opera, which tells the love story between Raoul, the Viscount of Chagny, (portrayed by Matthew Edlind), Paris Opera House singer Christine, (played by Dilara Altuner), the disfigured Phantom, (depicted by Dominic Gaudioso) hit the stage at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School for three nights in March.
The Andrew Lloyed Webber musical, which is based on Gaston Leroux’s French novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra wowed audiences with its Broadway-like production quality, stunning costumes, and pitch-perfect vocalists. The musical was directed by Gina Occhiogrosso and included support from Assistant Director Michelle Budion, Choreographer Sylvia Walsh, Costume Designer Meredith Wanzer, Set Designer Lauren Lefkowitz, and Pit Conductor David Abrams.
