Students in the Copiague School District entered their buildings this September – some returning after a summer of relaxation and others attending for the first time – eager to start the new school year. Book bags were filled with newly sharpened pencils and clean notebook pages, classroom desks and lockers were organized, and teachers introduced themselves as they began a new school year filled with excitement.
