To recognize the more than 60 students at Copiague Middle School who participated in a summer reading partnership between the Copiague Public Library and the middle school, a Book Bash pizza party was held. In order to be invited to the bash, the middle schoolers had to read more than four books for recreation over the summer and either hand in a report to middle school librarian Dawn Koziarz or write about their book on the Copiague Public Library Summer Reading Blog. Students who participated also earned extra credit in English class, as well as assorted rewards from the Copiague Public Library and the Middle School PTA.
