Taking great pride in their school, students in the Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School Ecology Club organized two beautification projects. The club members, along with their advisors Cassie Mazlin and Denise Raimondi, pulled up weeds and planted flowers in the high school courtyard. A few days later, the students traveled to Tanner Park to clean up the beach, just in time for beach season. “It’s really important that we take care of our planet and show pride for our community,” remarked Ecology Club vice president Jessica Murphy.
