School is back in session, and that means the students in the Copiague Middle School Builder’s Club have begun doing what they do best – raising awareness for community service. In their first activity of the year, the students, along with their advisor Maria Ostrofsky, collected school supplies such as notebooks, pens, folders, and book bags. Once the items were collected, the students packed the book bags with supplies and donated them to students within the district, with the remaining items and bags sent upstate to Plattsburgh, where Hurricane Irene left significant damage.
