During the Oct. 22 Copiague Board of Education meeting, the volunteer members of the Board were recognized for their outstanding commitment and dedication to the students of the Copiague School District in honor of the New York State School Boards Association’s School Board Recognition Week.
At the ceremony, held prior to the regular business meeting, the Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School Madrigal Choir sang two selections, while representatives from the Copiague Teachers Association, Parent Teacher Association, Copiague Association of Supervisors, Copiague Association of Secretaries and Copiague Teacher Aides and Teaching Assistants thanked the Board for their tireless commitment. Additionally, each unit donated funds to various charity organizations in the name of the Board.
