In order to make a larger impact on their community, the student governments from Copiague's Deauville Gardens East and Deauville Gardens West Elementary Schools joined forces this holiday season to collect hats, gloves and scarves under the direction of their advisers Christine Orlando (West) and Ashley Price (East). The items donated during the Mitten Tree drive were distributed by school social workers to students and families in need.
