Earlier this year, ten marketing students from Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School participated in the Adelphi University Apprentice Program. The workshop, which was sponsored by the Adelphi University Business Department, grouped the Copiague students with high school students from across Long Island. The students were responsible for creating and presenting a complete business plan to a group of judges on various topics for retail, wholesale, and the hotel and lodging industries. Copiague student Shane Confone was a finalist in this event.
