As a way to give back, students at Copiague Middle School participated in Macy’s Believe “Letter to Santa” Campaign. For each letter written by the students, Macy's donated $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. To begin the program, the Student Council and their advisor, Stephanie Colagiacomo, held a letter-writing marathon in the library. “This program teaches the students the importance of community service while allowing them to work on their writing skills. It’s a win-win activity,” remarked Mrs. Colagiacomo. In total, the Student Council delivered 800 letters to Macy’s.
