Members of the Copiague Kiwanis Club attended a special breakfast at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School to present scholarships to senior members of the Key Club.
The Key Club is an international organization whose primary mission is to help others. The members, along with their advisors, work hard to organize fundraisers to promote social and economic equality, encourage students to participate in volunteerism, and coordinate efforts with the Copiague Kiwanis to provide for those in need.
Kiwanis Club President Carol Lynch presented four $500 scholarships to graduating seniors Sherley Demetrius, Nahree Fraser, Purvi Shah, and Jessica Tavarez, and a $1,000 scholarship to Brian Conroy.
