Students from the Copiague Middle School Builders Club recently made a visit to the Tanner Park Senior Center. The students dedicated time from their school day to visit with the senior citizens, create handmade cards, and learn various line dances. “The Builders Club is based on community service,” stated club advisor Maria Ostrofsky. “I wanted to engage the students in an activity that would allow them to interact with community residents, as well as build their character.”
