Members of the Copiague School District Board of Education, administration, staff, parents and friends gathered at Copiague Middle School to celebrate and honor outstanding students throughout the district who lead by example.
This tradition, conducted twice a year, was started by the Board of Education to honor students who make unique contributions to their school community or have succeeded despite personal challenges. Twenty-one students were recognized and each was presented with a certificate of achievement by Superintendent of Schools Charles A. Leunig, followed by congratulations from the Board.
